BJP celebrates 46th Foundation Day with colourful programmes in Sikkim

During the programme, the BJP also welcomed new members who joined the party on this important day. Party leaders expressed happiness that more and more people are coming forward to support the BJP’s mission for Sikkim.

The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Sikkim celebrated its 46th Foundation Day with great enthusiasm and a strong turnout of party workers and members of the public. The main programme was held at the BJP State Office in Singtam, where senior leaders of the party addressed the gathering and shared the party’s achievements as well as its future plans for the state.

State BJP President DR Thapa led the celebrations and addressed the gathering. In his speech, he spoke about the importance of the BJP’s founding values and the progress the party has made in Sikkim. He also highlighted how the BJP under Prime Minister Narendra Modi has focused on development, public welfare, and good governance.

NK Subba, National Council Member of BJP, also addressed the gathering and spoke about the party’s work at the national and state levels. He encouraged party workers to stay committed to public service and to take BJP’s message to every household in Sikkim.

General Secretaries Shri Bharat Dulal and Arjun Rai, along with State Spokesperson Shri Passang Gyali Sherpa, also delivered speeches during the programme. They touched upon several pressing issues in the state and how BJP is working to address them. They also shared stories of how BJP policies have benefited people on the ground.

One of the highlights of the celebration was the distribution of LPG connections under the Pradhan Mantri Ujjwala Yojana. The BJP Mahila Morcha in Sikkim took the lead in this activity. As many as 150 deserving women beneficiaries received free LPG connections, which were handed over by State President Shri DR Thapa and other senior leaders during the event. The initiative was seen as a symbol of BJP’s commitment to women’s welfare and rural development.

Another key part of the Foundation Day celebrations was the launch of a Statewide Seva and Sampark Abhiyan, along with a Digital Outreach initiative. These efforts are aimed at increasing the party’s reach, connecting with the people, and spreading awareness about various schemes and initiatives of the Modi Government.

The programme at Singtam saw a large gathering of party workers, supporters, and members of the general public. Colourful decorations, enthusiastic slogans, and cultural performances added to the festive atmosphere.

The BJP’s Foundation Day is celebrated every year on April 6, to mark the formation of the party in 1980.
