The Bihar Foundation, Sikkim Chapter, organized a grand celebration of Bihar Diwas 2025 at Thakurbari Mandir in Gangtok.

The event witnessed the presence of Delay Namgyal Barfungpa, MLA, as the Chief Guest and Tenzing Bhutia, Chairman of SIMFED, as the Guest of Honour. Adding to the significance of the occasion, former Sikkim Governor Ganga Prasad also attended, reflecting the strong historical and cultural ties between Bihar and Sikkim.

Bihar Diwas, observed annually on March 22, marks the formation of the state of Bihar in 1912. The celebrations in Gangtok included cultural performances, traditional music, and discussions on Bihar’s contributions to history, education, and politics. Attendees expressed appreciation for Bihar’s rich legacy and its impact beyond its geographical boundaries.
