Bermiok hosts 5th Hills Open Badminton Tournament 2025 with a call for sports and healthy living

The 5th Hills Open Badminton Tournament 2025 came to a grand conclusion at the Community Hall, 13th Mile Bermiok, under the Gyalshing Bermiok Constituency, drawing praise from players, officials, and the local community. With the theme “A March Towards a Better Life – Say Yes to Life, No to Drugs,” the event was not only a celebration of sporting talent but also a strong campaign to inspire the youth towards healthy living and away from harmful addictions.

The matches saw spirited competition, and the atmosphere remained electric with cheers from enthusiastic supporters who packed the venue throughout the event.
The presence of Hon’ble Area MLA Shri Loknath Sharma added much significance to the occasion. Addressing the gathering, he appreciated the efforts of the organizers and motivated the young participants to continue their journey in sports with determination and discipline. Alongside him, other dignitaries also marked their presence, including SHO Soreng Shri Kishore Chhetri, CLC President Shri Kamal Tamang, CLC Youth Convener Shri Gyan Kumar Chhetri, CLC General Secretary Shri K B Chhetri, District Coordinator Social Service Wing Shri KS Subedi, and Panchayat President Bermiok Berthang GPU Shri Ganesh Nepal. Their participation reflected the community’s collective support for the cause of sports development.
