The Akhil Sikkim Khas Chettri Bahun Kalyan Sangh (ASKCBKS) Students’ Wing has strongly condemned the brutal sexual assault of a 14-year-old schoolgirl in Sikkim’s Gyalshing District, calling the incident “a horrific crime against humanity and a betrayal of societal trust.”

In a statement issued on Wednesday, the student wing expressed deep shock, anguish, and outrage over the incident, particularly over reports that one of the accused is a teacher—a figure responsible for the safety, growth, and moral guidance of young minds. “This is not just a violation of a child’s body—it is a violent rupture of our collective conscience,” the statement read.

The organization has extended full solidarity with the victim and her family, assuring support in their fight for justice. It also made a clear and firm call for uncompromising legal action against the perpetrators.

“We demand a thorough, impartial investigation and strict legal punishment for all those involved, regardless of their social standing or professional status,” the ASKCBKS Students’ Wing said. “There must be zero tolerance for crimes against children.”

The group also urged the police, child protection units, and judiciary to act swiftly and sensitively, emphasizing that the case should not be allowed to drag on or be influenced by political or institutional pressure. “Justice delayed is justice denied—especially in cases as traumatic and life-altering as this,” the statement added.

The students' wing also appealed to the broader community—including parents, teachers, and students—to come together in condemning the assault and demanding safer environments for children, both inside and outside school premises.
