Acclaimed filmmaker Anurag Basu has completed a thorough location recce in Gangtok and is set to commence shooting his latest project in Sikkim by the end of this month. The film is expected to highlight the state's breathtaking landscapes, further promoting Sikkim as a prime destination for filmmakers and tourists alike.

During his visit, Basu expressed his deep admiration for Sikkim’s scenic beauty and shared that filming in the state had been a long-cherished dream. "Sikkim has been on my wishlist for years, and I am thrilled that this project is finally taking shape here. The landscapes are truly mesmerizing, and I am excited to capture them on screen," he said.

The filmmaker also lauded the support extended by the Sikkim government, particularly acknowledging the assistance provided by Chief Minister Prem Singh Tamang. He appreciated the state’s proactive approach in facilitating filming permits and other official procedures, making the process seamless for filmmakers. "The efficiency and cooperation from the authorities have been outstanding. I am grateful for the warm welcome and the smooth coordination that made this possible," Basu remarked.
