Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was attacked and repeatedly stabbed by an unidentified intruder at his Bandra residence in the early hours of Thursday. Despite forming over 30 police teams, the Mumbai Police have yet to apprehend the assailant.

The attack occurred around 2 a.m. when the intruder entered Khan’s 12th-floor apartment in the upscale 'Satguru Sharan' building. The actor, 54, sustained multiple stab injuries, including a critical wound near his neck. He was rushed to Lilavati Hospital in an autorickshaw by his son, Ibrahim Ali Khan.

Doctors successfully performed emergency surgery, removing a 2.5-inch knife fragment from his spine. Neurosurgeon Dr. Nitin Dange confirmed that Khan is recovering well and is expected to be discharged within two to three days.

CCTV footage revealed the attacker fleeing the building with a red scarf and backpack. Police believe the assailant acted alone and may not have known the residence belonged to the actor. Over 30 statements, including one from Kareena Kapoor Khan, have been recorded.

Autorickshaw driver Bhajan Singh Rana, who transported Khan to the hospital, has been hailed as a hero. Rana, unaware of his passenger's identity, recounted, “He was soaked in blood but walked into the hospital like a lion.”
