A total of 10,000 special guests from across the nation have been invited to witness the Republic Day Parade 2025 at Kartavya Path, New Delhi, on January 26. Among them, 22 individuals from Sikkim have been selected to represent the state's significant contributions to Swarnim Bharat (Golden India).
The invitees from Sikkim include women entrepreneurs, National Award-winners, and beneficiaries of flagship government schemes, with a particular focus on members of Self-Help Groups (SHGs) involved in areas such as income generation, environmental protection, health, nutrition, sanitation, and gender empowerment. Their work reflects Sikkim’s commitment to sustainable development and social progress.
In addition to witnessing the Republic Day Parade, these special guests will visit iconic landmarks like the National War Memorial and the PM Sangrahalay. They will also engage in interactive sessions with key government ministers, gaining deeper insights into India’s governance and cultural heritage.
